Hi, I'm Jack, a music teacher with almost a decade of teaching experience. I've worked with all ages and genres.

  • Taught around your songs, not a textbook. We pick the music; I build the lesson plan around it.

  • Any style, any level. Indie, post-punk, country, hip-hop, classical — beginners welcome, returners too.

  • A teacher who still gigs. I've written, recorded, toured, and scored. You're learning from someone doing the work.

‍ ‍How it Works:

  2. We talk about your goals and pick a song to start with.

  3. Schedule weekly, biweekly, or specialized lessons online.

  4. Still unsure or have questions? Book a trial lesson here.

  • Absolutely! I’ve taught lessons to a wide variety of ages and skill levels, and I would say I have the most experience with beginners.

  • I teach acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, and ukulele. I’m also very capable of teaching beginner piano lessons.

  • Too many to list! I’ve taught rock, pop, classical, hip hop, country, folk, punk, post-punk, noise rock, vocaloid, new wave, and many more.

  • I will send you a google meet link about 5-10 minutes before our lesson is scheduled to start. It’s best to situate the camera on your face as well as your instrument if possible. You don’t need to plug your instrument into your computer unless you want to. As we get into the lesson I’m able to instantly share my screen and whatever is needed for the lesson: scales, tabs, sheet music, etc.

  • You may want headphones but as long as you have your instrument, a charged computer, and a semi quiet space that you’re comfortable in, we’ll be all ready to get started!
